WWE Smackdown Results for 7-9-15

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins kicks off the show. The destroyed Cadillac from Monday’s RAW is brought out and Rollins is cut off by Paul Heyman. Rollins and Heyman trade promos about Brock Lesnar and Battleground to close the opening segment.

Dean Ambrose defeated Bo Dallas

This is a dud feud and a dud match, Ambrose has a really bad botch in this one and it sucked the crowd out of the match. This spot will most likely be edited out for television. Ambrose gets the win after hitting Dirty Deeds.

Rusev defeated Fandango

This is a total squash match and the Bulgarian Brute has reasserted himself as a devastating heel again. On a side note, Rusev is now wearing footwear and is no longer barefoot.

Roman Reigns defeated Big Show by DQ

Bray Wyatt’s music hits and he comes out during the match. Reigns stayed in the ring this time, unlike on RAW, and it was a smart move as the Wyatt on the ramp was another decoy. But the Eater of World’s is always one step ahead of everyone else when it comes to mind games. the real Wyatt appears and attacks Reigns from behind leading to the disqualification. Wyatt then hits Sister Abigail twice on Reigns.

Titus O’Neil defeated Big E.

The rest of New Day was ejected from ringside. Titus gets the win with Clash of the Titus in a pretty solid match.

*Randy Orton cuts a promo on his return and on Sheamus. The Ascension interrupts and they tell Orton to get out of their ring, obviously they both get RKOs and the crowd pops.
Brie Bella and Alicia Fox defeated Naomi and Tamina
Typical Divas match, probably lasted about 5 minutes with a screw job finish, bathroom break if you need one.

Ryback defeated Seth Rollins by count out

Rollins jumps the barrier and runs away eventually. Ryback held a powerful vertical suplex for almost a minute yet again. Big Show interferes to help Rollins with Ryback after the match but Roman Reigns makes the save to end the show.

Sean Feral
Sean is pretty much “the bad guy”(metaphorically not negatively)…Sean was dubbed a “natural heel” by a handful of pro wrestlers about 8 years ago and Sean has embraced that role ever since. While covering the sports entertainment industry, Sean has met and interviewed many in the business and still loves the business now as much as he did as a kid. While most kids were cheering for the XMen, Sean rooted for guys like Apocalypse and Magneto. When everyone rooted for Hulk Hogan, Sean was rooting for the Iron Sheik. When you ask him “Why do you like the villain so much?” Sean always gives this answer, “The villain always tells a better story. Without their substance, there is little need for heroes.” Other than his love for villains, Sean is an overall sports dork and watches literally everything from WWE to Olympic curling to the NFL. Sean also loves humor, especially when it’s dark, well thought out, and witty.
