Smackdown Spoilers for 8-20-15

SmackDown this week with an actual match and not a promo for once which was kind of shocking.

Ryback vs. Big Show

Both of these behemoths fight to the floor and Ryback clotheslines Show through the barricade into the timekeeper’s area. The match ends in a double count out.

The New Day defeated Los Matadores and El Torito in a six-man match.

The end came when Big E hit the running splash on Torito and Woods tagged in for the pin.

Dolph Ziggler and Lana come out for a promo. He talks about how much he missed Lana and how the first thing she said to him when he returned was “crush those bastards.” They start kissing in the middle of the ring but get interrupted by the Bulgarian flag with Rusev’s face dropping down over the ring. Rusev then comes out and says he’s going to break Ziggler at SummerSlam and crush him. Ziggler says he’s going to kick in Rusev’s teeth and “steal Rusev’s girlfriend, the real one.” Ziggler’s music hits to end the segment.

Neville defeated Bo Dallas

This was a very quick match much like Neville and Barrett a few weeks ago. Stardust and King Barrett appeared on the Tron and cut promos about how they will beat Neville and Stephen Amell at SummerSlam.

Alicia Fox cuts a promo with The Bella Twins about Nikki Bella’s Divas Title reign. Brie Bella rips the Divas Revolution(Which seems heelish but more counterproductive IMO). Team BAD interrupts with Naomi and Sasha Banks cutting promos about how they will win at SummerSlam. Sasha says Brie has been riding on Daniel Bryan’s success(Which depending on who you ask is kind of true). Becky Lynch comes out with Charlotte and interrupts Sasha, saying Team PCB will win at SummerSlam. We’ve got a Triple Threat match next.

Brie defeated Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat

Brie rolled up Becky for the pin.(I felt everyone cringe at this horrible match booking.)

Orton, Ambrose, Reigns and Cesaro defeated Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Kevin Owens in the main event.

The match started with Sheamus and Orton with the heels controlling the match until the faces made a hot tag to Ambrose who hit Dirty Deeds on Harper for the pin. The babyfaces celebrate and posed to end SmackDown.

Sean Feral
Sean is pretty much “the bad guy”(metaphorically not negatively)…Sean was dubbed a “natural heel” by a handful of pro wrestlers about 8 years ago and Sean has embraced that role ever since. While covering the sports entertainment industry, Sean has met and interviewed many in the business and still loves the business now as much as he did as a kid. While most kids were cheering for the XMen, Sean rooted for guys like Apocalypse and Magneto. When everyone rooted for Hulk Hogan, Sean was rooting for the Iron Sheik. When you ask him “Why do you like the villain so much?” Sean always gives this answer, “The villain always tells a better story. Without their substance, there is little need for heroes.” Other than his love for villains, Sean is an overall sports dork and watches literally everything from WWE to Olympic curling to the NFL. Sean also loves humor, especially when it’s dark, well thought out, and witty.
